Packaging and Marking Guide

Standard packing dimensions, recommended shank marking formats and what to specify if your warehouse needs labels in a particular format.

Packing is the last place a shipment can go wrong. This guide covers what arrives as standard, what can be changed, and what that change does to the lead time.

Covered in the guide

  • Standard packing. Individual plastic tube per tool, grouped in a labeled carton, with the batch number on the outside.
  • Shank marking formats. Laser marking options — your part number, the dimension set, or both, with the character limit per shank diameter.
  • Label formats. Barcode, QR and plain text, and the layouts we can print directly from your order data.
  • Carton and pallet specifications. Dimensions and weights for planning inbound freight.
  • Lead-time impact. Which of these options add days and which do not.
If your warehouse has a standard, send it. Label format, marking format and packing type can all be set per customer and stored against your account, so every order arrives the way your team expects it.
