PVD Coating Lines
Three coating lines covering AlCrN, AlTiN, TiAlN and DLC — chosen per application, not per catalog page.

A coating is not an upgrade applied to a finished tool. It is part of the specification: it decides the maximum cutting temperature, the friction at the interface, and whether the workpiece material sticks to the edge. We run three PVD lines so the coating can be matched to the job rather than to what happens to be loaded.
Coatings and where they earn their place
| Coating | Hardness | Max working temperature | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AlCrN | ~3,200 HV | 1,100 °C | Dry machining, hardened steel, general milling |
| AlTiN | ~3,300 HV | 900 °C | Hardened steel, high-feed, superalloys |
| TiAlN | ~2,800 HV | 800 °C | General purpose, drilling, broad material range |
| DLC | ~2,000 HV | 400 °C | Aluminium, copper and graphite — low adhesion |
| Uncoated | — | — | Aluminium finishing, composites, plastics |
What it means for your order
- Coating matched to the material, not applied as a default.
- Thickness controlled per batch — verified rather than assumed.
- Adhesion checked before the tools are packed.
